Clytee Cook Hamill

Clytee Cook Hamill died Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015, at Covenant Health and Rehab in Vicksburg. She was 89.

Born and raised in Louisville, she lived a number of years in Natchez before making her home in Vicksburg in 1966. She was a homemaker and a member of Crossway Baptist Church.

She is survived by her three daughters, Monica (Billy) Coomes of Vicksburg, Rita (M.B.) Stringer of Collierville, Tenn., and Karen Hamill of Louisville; her son, Barry (Karen) Hamill of Louisville; her five grandchildren, Matthew Stringer, Sarah Myers, Aaron Coomes, Bertron Hamill and John Hamill; and her three great-grandchildren, Nathan Hamill, Devin Myers and Amelia Myers.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015, in the chapel of Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry White officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Saturday until the hour of the service.

Pallbearers will be Clyde Posey, Don McAuley, Aaron Coomes, Bertron Hamill, John Hamill and Clint Sanders.
