Jan Harris Robinson

Jan Harris Robinson died Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2015, at her home.
Born in Louisville, Ky., she had been a resident of Vicksburg for the past 64 years.
Mrs. Robinson was the daughter of the late Thomas Benjamin Harris Jr. and the late Josephine Susanna Good Harris. She was a graduate of H. V. Cooper High School and the University of Mississippi, where she was vice president of Kappa Delta sorority and M-Club sweetheart.
She was active in civic and community organizations including Meals on Wheels, Junior Auxiliary of Vicksburg, and Presbyterian Women of First Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bobby Dewitt Robinson; daughter, Le Robinson Brown and her husband Tim; daughter, Joanna Robinson and her fiancé Darrin Heatherly, of Cullman, Ala.; son, Bill Robinson; five grandchildren, Robinson Bash Brown, Timothy Benjamin Brown, Anna Ware Brown, Jeffery Luke Hindman, and Jan Harris Hindman; two brothers, Bill Harris and his wife April of Vicksburg and Joe Harris and his wife Susan of Germantown, Tenn.; and 14 nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Bash Brown, Ben Brown, Luke Hindman, Allen Brown, Brent Cappaert, Johnny Hennessey, Frank Kinard, Rod Parker, Freddy Roberts and JoJo Wilkins.
A Service of Witness to the Resurrection will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 21, 2015, at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Tim Brown officiating.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service.
