Russell Stanley Myers

Russell Stanley Myers died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center. He was 61 and the son of the late Arthur Emmitt Myers Sr. and Mary Louise Broadwater Myers.

Stanley was a graduate of Warren Central High School. He was a supervisor in receiving and stores for Cooper Lighting for 28 years.  He was an agent for McMillin Real Estate and operated Myers Lawn Service and Construction Services.

He was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Stanley was an avid hunter and was a member of Westside Hunting Club. He was a devout Christian and attended Lighthouse Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Breland Myers; two daughters, Carrie Callender (Jimmy) and Lori Williams (David); two sons, Todd Myers (Tish) and Gabe Crutchfield (Renee); and six grandchildren: Morgan Callender, Skylar Williams, Chelsea Myers, Anna Callender, John Russell Myers and Phillip Crutchfield.

He is also survived by two brothers, Emmitt Myers (Lynne) and Kenneth Myers (Hattie); and his father-in-law, Kenneth Breland.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 28, 2015, at Riles Funeral Home with Dr. E. L. Sharp and the Rev. David Kassos officiating.

Visitation will be Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the service with interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Analiese Cook Cancer Fund, 30 Vinson Road, Vicksburg, MS 39180; Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital, 2500 North State Street, Jackson, MS 39216 and to your Church of choice.

Pallbearers will be Duane McClurg, David Wells, Cameron Wells, Brian Wells, Tommy Paine and Kenny Mac McMillin. Honorary pallbearers will be nieces and nephews, member of the Westside Hunting Club, Hospice Advantage, Bill Bailey, Bobby Johnson and Dr. Justin Baker.
