Mary Lee Bowman died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015, at Merit Health River Region. She was 66.

Mrs. Bowman was a member of The Word Church of Vicksburg, and attended Rosa A. Temple High School. She loved to praise God, attend church, cook and take care of her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam O. Bowman; her parents, Henry and Ada Ringo; stepmother, Lutisha Ringo; brother, Willie Ringo; granddaughter, Alicia Kelly; and two sisters-in-law, Daisy Ringo and Lorine Ringo.

Survivors include her three daughters, Jacqueline Brown, Felicia Kelly and Andrea Brown, all of Vicksburg; one son, Augusta “Joe Joe” Brown Jr. of Vicksburg; one sister, Bertha Davenport of Killeen, Texas; two brothers, James Ringo and Henry Ringo, both of Vicksburg; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, at Pleasant Valley MB Church with Bishop Oscar L. Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation is Friday, Sept. 4, 2015, from 1 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
