Patsy Jane Tingle

Patsy Jane Tingle, 77, of Lacey, Wash., died Sept. 2, 2015.

She was born to Pauline Paralee Tyson and Randolph Cagle, Nov. 26, 1937, in Inverness.

Patsy graduated from Central High School in Jackson in 1955. She married Billy Joe Tingle in 1956, and lived in Vicksburg before relocating to Tacoma, Wash., in 1977.

Mrs. Tingle was a budget analyst for the Air Support Operations Group based at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., for 33 years until she retired in 2008.

She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Lakewood, loved to cook, garden, play board games with family and friends, and travel. She loved music and was a wonderful square dancer. Patsy was the proud and loving mother of four sons she raised on her own after the passing of her husband in 1973.

Patsy is predeceased by her mother and stepfather, Pauline and Otho Dewease; her husband, Billy Joe Tingle; and eldest son, Kirby W. Tingle (1958-2012).

She is survived by her brother, George (Pat) Cagle of San Diego; three sons, Stan (Zoe) Tingle of University Place, Wash., Randy (Margo) Tingle of Lakewood, Wash., and Ty Tingle of Lacey, Wash.; and daughter-in-law Marion Leandro, Lacey, Wash.

She was the proud and loving grandmother of seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made out to the memorial fund setup in Patsy’s name with First Baptist Church of Lakewood, 5400 112th St. SW, Lakewood, WA 98466. Phone 253- 582-1000.

A memorial service was Sept. 9, 2015, First Baptist Church of Lakewood.

Burial and a second memorial service will be at Glenwood Funeral Home Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, at 2 p.m., where she will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery next to her husband, Billy.
