PORT GIBSON — John H. Buck died Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, in Port Gibson. He was 64.

Mr. Buck was a member and usher at Welcome Baptist Church and had worked at LeTourneau, Inc. in Vicksburg for over 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daisy West and Willie Alfred Wilson Jr.; his stepfather, Chrystal West; and a stepbrother, Danny Wilson.

Survivors include a daughter, Portia Robinson of Port Gibson; four stepbrothers, Daryl King and Ernest Keller, both of Port Gibson, Dennis King of Beaumont, Texas, and James A. Wilson of Mira Lorna, California; three stepsisters, Beverly Lindsey of Greenville and Tanoa Claiborne and Sharon Sumrall, both of Port Gibson; five uncles; four aunts; and great-aunts, great-uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, at Welcome Baptist Church in Port Gibson with the Rev. James Buck officiating. Burial will at the church cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home Inc. of Port Gibson.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home, and Saturday at the church from 10a.m. until the service.
