PORT GIBSON — John E. Buck, 64 , who died Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, in Port Gibson. He was 64.

Mr. Buck was a member and usher at Welcome Baptist Church and worked at LeTourneau Inc. for over 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daisy West and Willie Alfred Wilson Jr.;  his stepfather, Chrystal West; and a stepbrother, Danny Wilson.

Survivors include a daughter, Portia Robinson of Port Gibson; four brothers, Daryl King and Ernest Keller, both of Port Gibson, Dennis King of Beaumont, Texas, and James A. (Sharon) Wilson of Mira Lorna, California; three sisters, Beverly Lindsey of Greenville, Tanoa (Bobby Ray) Claiborne and Sharon Sumrall, both of Port Gibson; five uncles; four aunts; and great-aunts, great-uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for will be 11a.m., Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, at Welcome Baptist Church  in Port Gibson, with the Rev. James Buck officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home Inc. of Port Gibson.

Visitation is Friday from 1 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home, and Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service time.
