Odean Velma Reed died Friday, Sept. 18, 2015, at Promise Hospital. She was 65.

Ms. Reed was born to Viola and Andrew Reed March 20, 1950, in Russum. She was the eldest of nine children from this union. She was of the Methodist faith.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Corey Walker; and a brother-in-law, Tommy Freeman.

Survivors include her two sons, Michael Reed of Vicksburg and Tyrone Reed of Charlotte, North Carolina; three brothers, Calvin Reed of Russum, and Andrew Reed and Willie Reed, both of Vicksburg; five sisters, Viola Robinson, Vernesser Freeman and Christina Baker, all of Vicksburg, Guestina Richardson of Long Beach, California, and Patricia Yelder of Anchorage, Alaska; four grandchildren; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 260 Mississippi 27, with the Rev. Joe Harris officiating. Burial will be follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday 1 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
