William “Wild Bill” Parker

William “Wild Bill” Parker died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, at his residence.

Born in Dallas, Texas, he had been a resident of Vicksburg since 1960. He was 69.

Mr. Parker was a meat cutter, having been employed by Abrahams Sunflower Store, Moses Grocery and Nelson Thompson Grocery. In later years, he was employed and later retired from Kroger and Ergon.

Mr. Parker enjoyed fishing with his family and friends.  He was a member of Lake Claiborne and attended the Lighthouse Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Sadie Land Parker; son, Bobby Glynn Parker (Lisa); two sisters, Linda Ingram and Pearlie Jernigan (Tommy); and two brothers, Tommy Perkins (Charlotte) and Billy Perkins (Betty).

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015, at Riles Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. E. L. Sharp and Brother Dathan Tipton officiating.  Burial will be at Cedar Hill cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Thursday until the hour of the service.

Pallbearers will be Chandler Bonelli, Fred Gilmore, Red Pierce, Jim Davidson, Norman Sanderford, George Tomkins, Johnny Grinshel and Sheriff Martin Pace. Honorary Pallbearers will be James Morgan, Richard Brumfield, John Oakes and Robert Alexander.
