Josephine Nohra Fulcher

Josephine Nohra Fulcher, 77, passed away Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, in her hometown of Vicksburg. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with a funeral Mass to follow at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery. She was born January 3, 1938, in Vicksburg and graduated from St. Francis Xavier Academy where she was a cheerleader.

She is preceded in Heaven by her parents, Toefel George “T. G.” Nohra and Minnie Farris Nohra; her grandparents, Mike George Farris, Helen Moses Farris, George John Nohra and Mary Nassar Nohra; her sisters, Evelyn Nohra Meronek and Martha Farris; and her brother, George Nohra.

Josephine is survived by her spouse of 56 years, William Herschel “Bill” Fulcher Sr.; three sons and their families, William H. “Bill” Fulcher Jr. and wife, Geni, and their children Adam and Ansley; Keith Fulcher and wife, Anne, and their children Christian, John and Marianna; and Thomas Fulcher and wife, Tobi, and their son Drew.

She is also survived by her sister, Delores Nohra Coomes; brother, David Nohra; and many, many loving nieces and nephews.

She was a wonderful wife and mother whose life was her family. As “Sitti” to her grandchildren, they will carry on her loving and caring nature.

Josephine’s professional career included employment with Judge Oscar LaBarre, Hennessey Insurance and Wilkerson Insurance. She was a consummate volunteer at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, St. Francis Elementary School and St. Aloysius High School.

Pallbearers will be Mike Jones, Christopher Rogers, John Boone, David Smith, John Coomes, Gregory Nohra, Jordan Nohra and Ronnie Moran.
