An SUV and a horse trailer reported stolen in two separate incidents have been recovered by Warren County sheriff’s deputies, Sheriff Martin Pace said.
A 2005 Chevrolet Suburban reported missing Friday from the 100 block of North Drive was found about 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning by two hunters in the woods off Fox Road, where it was parked far enough in the woods to be hidden from the road. Pace said some robotics equipment for a child’s school project and the vehicle’s radio were taken. The SUV was locked.
About the same time the SUV was reported, the sheriff said, a man whose horse trailer was reported missing Monday from his home in the 7000 block of Miss. 27 told him an acquaintance saw the trailer in Hinds County being pulled by a truck north of Utica. A sheriff’s investigator met with a Hinds County deputy and found the trailer parked off Miss. 27 North of Utica. The man pulling the trailer told the deputies he bought it from a man in Edwards. The case remains under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time, Pace said.
