Funeral services for Roxie Flora Sims will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, at Total Praise Ministries with the Rev. Gregory Butler officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery with W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home in charge. There will be a visitation hour from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, in the Chapel.

Rosie Flora Sims died Monday, Dec. 7, in the Merit Health River Region Medical Center following a brief illness She was 82.  She was a homemaker and member of the St. James M. B Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Hestana Young Jones; her son, Floyd Lee Jones; her daughter, Alice Faye Jones; her brother, Ernest Jones; and her sisters, Melesia Jones, Fredonia Jones Smith, Dorothy Jones Grayer, Ida Jones Long and Beatrice Jones Hollie.

She is survived by her three sons, Robert Lee Jones and Rickey Lee, both of Vicksburg, and Samuel Jones of Sacramento, Calif.; her three daughters, Lubertha Sims, Juanita Sims and Patricia Sims, all of Vicksburg; her sister, Alberta Jones Long of Oakland, Calif.; 27 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
