Thelma L. Washington died Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015, at her home.

She was born Dec. 22, 1952 to the late Williona Washington and John L. James Sr. of Vicksburg.

Mrs. Washington was a member of Clover Valley Missionary Baptist Church and a graduate of Warren Central High School.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, L.T. “Butch” Moran Sr.; sister, Barbara James Newsome; brother, Jessie James; five aunts and two uncles.

Survivors include her son, Kevin L. Washington; two grandchildren; five sisters, Khristine Doss, Jacqueline James and Gloria James, all of Vicksburg, Betty James Tucker of Pawtucket, R. I. and Louvina James Noble of Chicago; three brothers, Melvin James of Augusta, Ga., Willie L. James of Vicksburg and John L. James, Jr. of Marietta, Ga.; and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of her life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015, at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Wilbert L. Doss officiating.
