Ethel Mae Ross Myles

HERMANVILLE — Ethel Mae Ross Myles, 77, died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, at her home.
Mrs. Myles was a member, usher and choir member at St. Elmo Christian Church in Hermanville. She was a member of Silver Star No. 34 Order of Eastern Star, the Benevolent, and Heroin of Jericho. She retired from the Claiborne County School District as a cook where she worked for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Ross and Elizabeth Norals; her parents that raised her, Frank and Annie Ellis; two daughters, Elizabeth Myles and Dorothy Myles and a brother, the Rev. J.P. Neal.
Survivors include her husband, Eddie Myles of Hermanville; seven daughters, Eddie Perry and Lee Ethel King, both of Port Gibson, Mary Hyder, Patricia “Pat” Myles and Erma Myles-Greenwood, all of Hermanville, and Helen Broome and Jessie “Jackie” Taylor, both of New Orleans; two sisters, Alice Mae Flowers of Phoenix, and Mary Lee Triplett of Port Gibson; a brother, Eddie Kinnard of Port Gibson; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and stepsisters, stepbrothers, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Services will be 1p.m., Saturday, Jan. 2, 2015, at Mercy Seat M.B. Church in Port Gibson with the Rev. Percy Terrell officiating, assisted by the Rev. Frank McGriggs. Burial will be at Hermanville Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home Inc. of Port Gibson.
Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 5p.m. at the funeral home, and Saturday at the church from noon until service.
