On Dec. 13, 2015, Jennifer Leigh Burrell Harvison Hillman went to be with her Lord and Savior. Jennifer was born June 30, 1974 in Jackson and was 41 years young. She lived most of her life in Perry County.

Although her family and friends have a hole in their hearts that will never be filled, we know our prayers for her to be Happy and Healthy have been answered.

After a beautiful service by Bro. Greg Piercy of Arlington Baptist Church, Beaumont, about faith (“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” Hebrews 11:1) and cellphones (Jennifer’s biggest nemesis) a prayer by Brian Hinnant of Asbury UMC, Petal, and special music by Phillip Penton and Anjeanette Coaker, Jennifer was laid to rest at Fairhope Cemetery in Beaumont.

Serving as pallbearers were Tommy Coaker, Bill Hillman, Chris Burrell, Michael Herring, Johncole Griffin, Charles Whitefield, Victor Mello, and Chris Miller.

Jennifer leaves behind her husband, Anthony Hillman; mother, Pamela Martin Powers, of Runnelstown; father, Bill Burrell of Durant; daughters, Alexanderia and Peyton Harvison of McLain; brothers, Frank Burrell of Coloado and Chris Burrell of Meridian; grandparents, Vaiden and Ada Lewis Martin of Vicksburg; grandchildren, Dawson, Oakley and Lyric of McLain; stepson, Noah Hillman of Clara and a host of loving family and friends

Jennifer fulfilled her dream of becoming a nurse when she earned her LPN degree in 1995.  In her 20 years’ service to the healthcare community she worked at Hattiesburg Clinic cardiology, pediatrics, urology, and women’s health, the After Hours Clinic, immediate care and Southeast Mississippi  Rural Health Initiative.

She was a dedicated nurse and will be missed by her many patients.

Jennifer’s family and friends would like to thank the medical staff at Merit Health for their love, care and compassion, the amazing folks at Arlington Baptist Church for their outpouring of love for Jennifer shown through a benefit to help defer the cost of a liver transplant, the food provided during visitation, the lunch provided after the funeral and the many prayers and conversations with Jennifer over the past months.

We are also thankful for the beautiful flowers and plants sent in Jennifer’s memory.

1 Corinthians 2:9
But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”— but Jennifer has seen the wonders God prepared for her!

Jones & Son Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
