PORT GIBSON — Earnest C. Kelly died Friday, Jan. 1, 2016, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. He was 61.

Mr. Myles was preceded in death by his father, William Kelly Sr.; and a brother, Robert Kelly.

Survivors include a son, Eton Coleman of Hermanville and Phyllis Kelly of Jackson; his mother, Lizzie Kelly of Los Angeles; a special friend; seven brothers, Carl Kelly of Chicago, William Kelly, Jr. of Hermanville, Dannie Kelly of Clarksville, Tenn., Elvin Kelly of Vicksburg, George Kelly of Los Angeles, Bennie Wells of Columbus, and Moses Williams of Port Gibson; four sisters, Josie Anderson of Los Angeles, and Ann Kelly, Sarah Kelly and Joyce Kelly Dragon, all of Chicago; and grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, at Ashland M.B. Church in Port Gibson with the Rev. Chester Watts officiating, assisted by Rev. Richard Cruel. Burial will be at the church cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home Inc. of Port Gibson.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home, and Saturday at the church from 2 p.m. until the service.
