DeQUEEN, Ark. — William Andrew “Bill” Hardin, age 75, a resident of De Queen, died Friday, Jan. 15, 2016, at his home.
He was born to Andrew Crosley and Mary Catherine Lambert Hardin in Pontotoc on May 14, 1940, and was a graduate of Mississippi State University in Starkville.
He was production manager and plant manager at National Plastics of Port Gibson for 21 years, plant engineer at Poulan Weedeater Injection Molding Operations, De Queen, for three years, and manager of Plastics and Tooling, Poulan Weedeater, De Queen for 13 years. He retired from Poulan/Weedeater in December 2004.
He attended Memorial Baptist Church in De Queen.
He was preceded in death by his father; and an infant daughter, Melissa Hardin.
Survivors include wife of over 51 years, Werdna Weeks Hardin of De Queen; a son, Shawn Lee Hardin of Hot Springs, Ark.; two daughters Michele Turner of New Hope, Ark., and Rebekah and Marty Bearden of Umpire, Ark.; two great-grandchildren; his mother, Catherine Hardin of Pontotoc;
two brothers, Michael Hardin of Guntown and Rick Hardin of Pontotoc; and nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Clay Ferguson, the staff at Dierksen Hospice of Texarkana, Ark., and his personal sitters for their loving support.
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2015, at Chandler Funeral Home with the Rev. Jason Carlton and the Rev. Larry Moore officiating.
Burial will follow at Clear Creek Cemetery, Horatio, Ark., under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.
