A Vicksburg man accused of robbery and assault was held without bail Thursday.
Tyrone Woodson Jr., 20, 2625 Alma St., was arrested at 6:20 p.m. Wednesday on a felony warrant and charged with aggravated assault and strong-arm robbery, Vicksburg police Lt. Troy Kimble said.
The warrant for Woodson’s arrest stems from an incident that occurred in March 2015 on the 1400 block of Smith Aly where Woodson was accused of striking a man with a brick and robbing him, Kimble said. Yesterday a report of shots fired in the air on the 1100 block of Bowmar Street alerted officers to the area where Woodson was found and arrested, Kimble said.
Woodson is being held in the Issaquena County Correctional Facility until his initial appearance in court, Kimble said.
