Vicksburg Catholic School will host its annual $10,000 drawdown and silent auction fundraiser again this year.

Set for Feb. 14, the event will be held at the Convention Center beginning at 6 p.m.

“We are really looking forward to another great evening and fundraiser this year,” said Ann Roberson, Vicksburg Catholic School’s Development Director.

There will be a full cocktail dinner buffet, a cash bar, and several door prizes available at the event throughout the evening.

“This year, in addition to the $10,000 grand prize, we will also have an additional raffle of $2,500,” said Roberson, “This will take the place of the vacation raffle.”

The event will also feature a silent auction.

“The Silent Auction will have something for everyone. We’ll have a great selection of jewelry, artwork, weekend packages, electronics, sports memorabilia, and more for people to bid on,” said Roberson.

The event, which is in its 33rd year, is scheduled for Valentine’s Day.

“This year will definitely be a little more ‘upscale’ compared to years past, in order to go along with the Valentine’s Day theme,” explained Roberson. “The buffet will feature a carving station, shrimp cocktail, a pasta bar, an array of desserts, and many other delicious offerings.”

A base ticket for the event is $125, which admits two to the event, and includes a chance to win the grand prize of $10,000, cocktail buffet, and 4 wine/mixed drink tickets — beer and other beverages are complimentary.

For and extra $25, a ticket purchaser can add insurance to their ticket, which ensures that their ticket remains in the drawdown bin through the first 50 tickets drawn.

For another $25, they can add an additional chance to win the $2,500 cash prize. They can be purchased online at vicksburgcatholic.org, by clicking on “About VCS” and then “Development.”

The tickets also can be purchased in both school offices. Call Ann Roberson at 601-630-9762 for more details.
