Funeral services for Lawrence E. Jackson Jr. will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, at Vicksburg Church of Christ Holiness USA with pastor Howard Bachelor officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Mr. Jackson died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center. He was 57. He worked at the Vicksburg Auditorium and was a member of Vicksburg Church of Christ Holiness USA.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dequita Higgins; mother, Ruby Lee Grissom-Jackson; brother Carl Jackson; and sister JoAnn Lynn.

Survivors include his father, Lawrence E. Jackson Sr. of Vicksburg; two brothers, Bruce Jackson of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Charles Jackson of Jackson; sister, Shirley Brown of Vicksburg; a grandson; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
