Margaree T. Flowers died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center.

She was 91.

Mrs. Flowers was born April 23, 1924, in Vicksburg to the late Mose Tolliver Sr. and Rosie Austin Tolliver.  She was a member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church and a member of Brook Chapter No.109 Electra Grand Chapter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Flowers Sr.; son, Andrew Flowers; daughter, Patricia Eubanks; sister, Irene Nervis; brother, Mose Tolliver Jr.; grandson, Andrew Smith; and son-in-law, Robert Marshall.

Survivors include seven children, Ann Marshall, Peter Flowers, Jr. Victoria Mayfield, Willie Mae Maxey, Deyannah Flowers and Kiaheam Flowers, all of Vicksburg, and Viola Cash of Wood Bridge, Va.; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and relatives.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 8188 Halls Ferry Road with the Rev. Henry Williams officiating. Burial will follow at New Zion Church Cemetery under the direction of Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home  from 1 to 7 p.m. with the family present from 6 to 7, and Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.
