Louise Peacock Gray

Louise Peacock Gray died Friday, Feb. 19, 2016, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home. She was 74. Born in Rayville, La., she was the daughter of the late Marion Lafayette Ratcliff and Nellie Margaret Purvis Ratcliff. She was a graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, retiring with 45 years of service to the nursing community. Mrs. Gray was of the Catholic faith.
She is survived by her husband, Brian Gray; daughter, Teres Saunier (Buddy); son, Craig Peacock; two grandchildren, Victoria Trichell and Jonathan Peacock; and two great-grandchildren, Tanner and Baylor.
She is also survived by her siblings, Evelyn Anthony, Juanita Stewart, Dorothy Bodiford, Regina Smithson, Lillian Morgan, Rosa Riggs and Troy Ratcliff.
Mrs. Gray was predeceased by her first husband, James Peacock; brothers, Tommy Ratcliff, Marion “Doc” Ratcliff; and her sister, Bonnie Evans.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. P. J. Curley, pastor of St. Michael Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon until the service.
Memorials may be made to charities of choice.
Pallbearers will be Jody, Murphy, Bill Yerger, James Warren, Don Morton, John Kavanaugh, Clyde McGehee, Newell Murphy and Johnny Price. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Paul Pierce III, Billy Deen, Steve Roland, Bobby (Bubba) Wallace and Mark Hawkins.
