Funeral services for Martha Elizabeth Bass Warrick will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2016, at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church of Freetown with the Rev. Dr. John Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Warrick died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center.

She was a retired registered nurse, having worked her professional career in New Orleans. She was a graduate of Bowman High School class of 1955 in Vicksburg and received a bachelor’s degree in science from Dillard University in 1959. She was a member of Mount Pilgrim Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerald W. Warrick; parents, Sylvester and Ruby L. Bass; brother, Sylvester Bass, Jr.; and sisters, Annie Amos and Evelyn Bass.

Survived include her only child, Winfred Gerard Warrick of New York; brother, George W. Bass of Vicksburg; sister, Bobbie Bass of Vicksburg; and other relatives and friends.
