Glenn Smith of St. Joseph, La., died Tuesday, March 15, 2016. He was 73.

He was born and raised in Vicksburg and lived there most of his life.  He was an avid hunter and fisher and loved sports, God and his family.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Smith; two sons, David Smith (Dana) and Larry Smith (Vicki); two daughters, Tammy Rutherford and Tamie McCaffrey (Alton), one son-in-law, Bubba Matthews; and one sister, Margie Hinson.

He had 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Pauline Smith of Vicksburg; two siblings, Thomas Dan Smith and Patricia Smith Simpson, both of Vicksburg; two daughters, Tena Matthews of Vicksburg and Taye Taylor of Destin Fla.; and two infant children, Michael and Melissa Smith.

Visitation is 10 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2016, at Glenwood Funeral Home with the service following at 11. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Parker Rutherford, Will Matthews, Cole Hawthorne, Brian and Lee McCaffrey and Chad Holmes.  Honorary pallbearer will be Daniel Smith.
