A man was shot multiple times Monday night in Vicksburg.

At 10:15 p.m. Monday, Robert Curtis, 58, was shot while standing on the street at 2nd North and Bodley streets, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.

Curtis was taken by ambulance to Merit Health River Region Medical Center and was later transferred to University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Williams said. She said there has been no update on Curtis’ condition.

No arrests have been made, but police have a person of interest and expect an arrest, Williams said. The incident is still under investigation, she said.
