William Eastman Sr.

William Eastman Sr. died Saturday, April 9, 2016, at his home. He was 69.
Mr. Eastman was born May 9, 1946, to the late Robert and Annie Lou Robinson Eastman in Warren County. He was educated at Cedars Elementary School and Rosa A. Temple High School in Vicksburg.
He was a member of Mount Givens Baptist Church, where he was an active member of the Sunday school, Bible study and senior choir. He was a former member of the Ever-Givens Male Chorus.
He worked at Marathon LeTourneau for 16 years and Bechtel Power Nuclear Plant for nine years, as well as Bunge and Cooper Lighting. He was a licensed general contractor since 1997 and enjoyed being self-employed since 2005.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Hardy Robinson and Sarah Robinson Foster; paternal grandparents, William and Martha Eastman; sisters, Martha Lee Parker and Emma “Sweetie” Eastman Walker; brothers, Robert Eastman II and Johnny Eastman; children, Michael Wayne, Roderick and Cedric; and granddaughter, Destiny Lashay McDonald.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Eastman; four sons, Fabian Eastman of Gurnee, Ill., William Eastman Jr., Edward Petties and Anthony Hall, both of Vicksburg; five daughters, Anitra Eastman of Kenosha, Wisc., Tikesha Eastman of Zion, Ill., and Angela Hall, Pamela Hall and Shyann Harper, all of Vicksburg; three sisters, Sarah Cosey and Julia Cosey, both of Vicksburg, and Catherine Eastman Robinson of Detroit; one sister-in-law; 33 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including the Eastman, Cosey, Hall, Williams families and Betty Eastman.
Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2016, at Vicksburg Auditorium with the Rev. Terry L. Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Givens M.B. Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home from 1 to 7 p.m. with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m.
