Ebersole, Attaway exchange vows

Miss Mattie Treece Attaway and Mr. John Bernard “Bern” Ebersole, both of Dallas Texas, were married at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 16, 2016 at St. Paul Catholic Church, in Vicksburg.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Howard Attaway of Troup, Texas.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Allen of Tyler Texas and Mr. and Mrs. Ken Hall of Troup Texas.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Alan Ebersole, of Vicksburg.

He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Carter Stamm, of Vicksburg and Mrs. Patricia Hackman Ebersole and the late Mr. Bernard Wagner Ebersole of Lancaster Pa.

Father Thomas Lalor officiated the ceremony.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Tommy Howard Attaway.

Mrs. Meghan Lee served as matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Brandy Lewis, Kelsey Allen, Cassie Lawson, Meredith Bunch, Amanda Tonroy and Holly Rawls.

The groom’s father, Bruce Ebersole served as the best man.

Groomsmen were Jase Ebersole, brother of the groom, Brady Attaway, Jackson Brasher, Brian Dyess, Dan Eckel, Robert Griest, Pete Hand and John Thurlow.

A cocktail reception was held at The B’nai B’rith Club. Foods representing places important to the couple were served from stations. The Bride’s cake was in the center of the Foyer and was topped with an antique bride and groom salt and pepper shaker. These were a gift from the bride for the groom’s salt & pepper collection.  Following the reception on the main floor, guests were entertained by the Patrick Smith Band in The Grand Ballroom.

The couple left the reception on a bicycle-built-for-two.

For a wedding trip the couple traveled to the island of Mauritius and Cape Town, South Africa.

The couple will make their home in Dallas.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Whitehouse High School, in Whitehouse Texas and a 2011 graduate of the University of North Texas, where she received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Marketing. She is employed as a marketing representative for a home health care agency in Dallas.

The groom is a 2005 graduate of St. Aloysius High School, in Vicksburg, a 2009 graduate of Princeton University, where he received a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Economics and a 2013 graduate of Duke University, where he received a Master’s of Business Administration. He is employed as a consultant at  McKinsey & Company in Dallas.

On the eve of the wedding a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents.

A Post Toast party was held following the rehearsal dinner at the home of Dr. and Mrs. David Halinski. Hosts included Mr. and Mrs. Bill Fulcher, Mr. and Mrs. Hunter Fordice, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Hudspeth, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Campbell, Mr. and Mrs. Steven Marcus, Ms. Cathy Blagg and Mr. and Mrs. Mark Mazzanti.

A brunch for out of town guests was held the day of the wedding at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Andrews. Hosts included Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Campbell, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Franco, Mr. and Mrs. John Neill, Dr. and Mrs. Jim Cook, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Vincent, Mr. Vince and Dr. Susan Chiarito, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Ried, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Burrell, Mr. and Mrs. Greg Langston, Mr. and Mrs. Riley Collins, Mr. and Mrs. Craig Stamm, Mr. and Mrs. Rick Caldwell, Dr. and Mrs. George Abraham, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Cole, Mr. and Mrs. David Coker, Mr. and Mrs. William Kemp and Ms. Leanne Dyess.
