Richard Hamlin “Rick” Burrow

Richard Hamlin “Rick” Burrow died Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Merit Health Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was 67.

Mr. Burrow was born in Ohio to the late William H. and Patricia Hoke Burrow.  He had been a resident of Vicksburg since 1983.

He had been employed by Waterways Experiment Station (later ERDC) as an electrical engineer since 1983.  He was a member of Bovina United Methodist Church.

Mr. Burrow is survived by his wife, Mary Burrow; a son, Matthew Weissinger (Amanda) of Brandon; two grandchildren, Margaret Jane Weissinger and Nora Beth Weissinger;  two brothers, Dr. Bill Burrow (LaFon) of Jackson and Dr. Todd Burrow (Linda) of Boulder, Colo.;  a sister, Dr. Maida Burrow (Dr. Jerry Bush) of Grand Junction, Colo.; nephews, Scott Meek, Scott Burrow, Grant Burrow, Marshall Burrow, Beau Burrow, Jamey Burrow, and Forrest DeBuys; nieces, Holly DeBuys, Kristina Woodruff, and Muffin Meek.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Richard Hamlin Burrow II.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2016, at Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. John Evans, pastor of Bovina United Methodist Church officiating.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, and Friday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.  Interment will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mickey Meek, Scott Meek, Bill Burrow, Leo Koestler, Matthew Prince, Curtis James, and Duncan Burrow.
