Monroe Parson died Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at Promise Specialty Hospital. He was 81.

He was a member of Cedar Grove M.B. Church and was retired from the Vicksburg-Warren School District.

Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
