In boys’ singles Tuesday, Alex Velazquez lost to Meridian’s Ethan Clopton 6-4, 6-2 while in girls’ singles Lauren Davis fell to top-seeded Megan Humphreys of Madison Central 6-1, 6-1. Humphreys went on to advance to today’s championship match against No. 2 seed Megan Holmes of Clinton.
In the boys’ doubles bracket, George Wilkerson and Brent Styles lost 6-2, 6-3 to Madison Central’s Conner Fudge and William Pratt in the quarterfinals.
In the mixed doubles quarterfinals, WC’s Joseph Jabour and Amanda Boleware lost to No. 2 seed Sebastian Rios and Dakian Reed 6-2, 6-4.
