Funeral services for Betty Jo Miller Jones will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2016, at Mount Calvary M. B. Church with the Rev. Mincer Minor officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Jones, of Vicksburg, Sunday, May 22, 2016, at University of Mississippi Medical Center. She was 68.

She retired from the the Vicksburg Warren School District after teaching special education for 28 years and was a member of the Mount Calvary M. B. Church. She was a 1966 graduate of Rosa A Temple High School and a 1970 graduate of Alcorn State University and a graduate of Jackson State University, where she received her specialist degree in education She was a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority

She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur James and Ernestine Robinson Miller Sr.; and her brother, Dr. Arthur James “Junie” Miller, Jr.

Survivors include her husband, Albert Jones of Vicksburg; daughter, Anedra Jones of Vicksburg; sister, Carolyn Miller West of Greenbelt, Md. a granddaughter; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
