Waterways Experiment Station was father’s life’s work

To the editor:
My father, Joseph B. Tiffany, worked for the Waterways Experiment Station for 40 years, from around 1930-1970.
He was one of the original engineers from universities around the country who came to Vicksburg to work at the WES when it was first getting started.
I grew up wading in the Niagra Falls River model when my father showed guests around “the Lab.”
At one time he was known as “Mr. WES.” The Lab was his life’s work.
