An attempt to steal an automated teller machine from a convenience store Thursday morning in Warren County failed.

At 2 a.m. Thursday, officers responded to an alarm call on the 1700 block of Mississippi Highway 27, Lt. Randy Lewis said. Deputies responded to the call and found the front glass broken at a convenience store and evidence of an unsuccessful attempt to remove the ATM from the building, Lewis said.
