James Todd Scallions, 50, passed away Sept. 8, 2016.

He had retired from the asphalt business and enrolled in medical coding school, a field he was very excited about.  He was born in Vicksburg and lived in Mississippi all his life.

Todd had a knack for making people laugh. Someone once said Todd was a dreamer, and no truer statement could there have been. Todd lived out some of those dreams in his lifetime, one of which was becoming a successful bowler on the PBA Tour.  Some of his favorites included music, singing, football, NASCAR, traveling, but most of all, his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Henry Scallions of Vicksburg.

He is survived by his wife, Davi L. Scallions; his two daughters, Torie L. Scallions and Chelsie L. Scallions; one stepson, Brandon Westcott; as well as one stepdaughter, Brooke Westcott Haas of Vicksburg.

He is also survived by his mother, Bonnie Scallions Bufkin; and sisters, Melinda Scallions Hinson and Pamela Scallions Wright, all of Vicksburg. He is also survived by his two grandchildren, Maggie May Haas and Hayden James Love; and friends, sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces, great-nieces, and cousins.

Visitation will be Monday from 9 a.m. to noon at Glenwood Funeral Home.

Services will be Monday at noon, Sept. 12, 2016, at Glenwood Chapel. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Danny Scallions, Bo Wright, Pete Hartley, Johnny Moorhead, John Toney and Melvin Hinson.  Honorary pallbearer will be Kenny Hinson, Jerry Edwards, and Randy Brent.
