Billy P. Hubert Jr. of Vicksburg died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center. He was 58.

Mr. Hubert was born in Jennings, La., and was reared at Eagle Lake. He was a graduate of Warren Central High School and a member of the Assembly of God faith.

He was retired from International Paper Co., and loved the outdoors, horses and Big Ed.

Mr. Hubert was preceded in death by his two daughters, Courtney Lloyd Hubert and Erin Elizabeth Hubert; and his parents, Lucille and Billy P. Hubert Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Cherryl Reedy Hubert of Vicksburg; his brother, Will (Diane) Hubert and sister Jaketa (Michael) Platt, all of Eagle Lake; his uncle, Calvin Spell of Crowley, La.; and four nieces and one nephew.

Services will be at Fisher Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. David Case officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon until the hour of the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be James Myers, Bubba Bowen, John Bowen, Doug Jeter, Chris Libbey and Robert Kapp.
