After being on the receiving end of two blowouts, Hinds Community College finally got to deliver one.

Micah Zanders threw three touchdown passes — two of them to Ra’Meik Wallace — and Hinds’ defense posted its first shutout since 2011 as it beat Southwest Mississippi 27-0 Thursday night in Summitt.

Kevin Ratliff led the defensive effort with 11 tackles and a fumble recovery, while former Vicksburg High star Kareeme Butler had an interception. Hinds held Southwest (1-2, 0-1 MACJC South) to 254 yards of total offense.
