For the second time in two weeks, Warren Central’s slow-pitch softball team turned a game against Greenville into batting practice.
April Lynn went 2-for-2 with a double, triple, two RBIs and three runs scored as Warren Central beat Greenville 27-0 Thursday at Lucy Young Field. The Lady Vikes scored 17 runs in the third inning and finished with 14 hits.
In two games against Greenville this season, Warren Central has outscored the Honey Bees 52-3.
Dominique Caldwell and Ashley Coley both homered for Warren Central, while Kaylee Hoeft was 2-for-4 with three RBIs and three runs scored. Coley had two hits and drove in four runs, and Sarah Kate Smith was 2-for-4 with a double, five RBIs and three runs scored. Morgan Stewart also drove in four runs.
Warren Central (13-4, 5-0 Division 3-5A/6A) will play a varsity doubleheader Tuesday at Clinton that will determine the division championship.
