A look at how players from Vicksburg-area high schools did in college football and NFL games over the weekend:
• Cornell College (Iowa) running back Patrick Brown (Vicksburg High) carried the ball 10 times for 73 yards, including a 22-yard touchdown, in a 46-41 win over Beloit College. Brown also caught two passes for nine yards.
• Grambling linebacker DeArius Christmas (Warren Central) had three solo tackles, including one for loss, in a 43-18 win over Alcorn State.
• Delta State defensive back Devontae Wilson (Warren Central) assisted on one tackle for loss in a 47-7 win over Shorter.
• Ole Miss offensive lineman Talbot Buys (Porters Chapel Academy) saw playing time in a 45-14 win over Georgia.
• New England Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler (Vicksburg High) had two solo tackles, two assists, one tackle for loss and one pass defense in a 27-0 shutout of the Houston Texans.
