“Any active military or veteran can bring their I.D. and come out and enjoy a free meal,” said Ameristar vice president and general manager Gerad Hardy.

“Pinnacle Entertainment, our parent company, has had a long tradition of supporting veterans throughout the country, and we wanted to make sure we participated,” he said.

Hardy said this was Ameristar’s second year to participate in the free lunch program.

“We had tremendous response last year. A lot of our veterans came out and enjoyed a wonderful meal and were very happy about it,” he said. “We wanted to be able to continue that tradition this year.”
