A look at how players from Vicksburg-area high schools did in college football and NFL games played over the weekend:
• Mississippi College running back Darius Youngblood (Vicksburg High) had one reception for five yards in a 42-7 loss to North Alabama.
• Alcorn State wide receiver Tavares Johnson, Jr. (Vicksburg High) caught his first career touchdown pass in a 61-7 rout of Mississippi Valley State. Johnson caught three passes for 42 yards.
• Grambling linebacker DeArius Christmas (Warren Central) had seven solo tackles in a 21-0 shutout of Alabama State.
• Ole Miss offensive lineman Talbot Buys (Porters Chapel Academy) saw playing time on special teams in a 29-28 win over Texas A&M.
• Belhaven linebacker Denarrius Noel (Hinds AHS) had 11 total tackles, including one for loss, in a 50-45 win over Howard Payne.
• Delta State defensive back Devontae Wilson (Warren Central) had one solo tackle in a 42-16 loss to Florida Tech.
• New England Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler (Vicksburg High) had nine tackles, including seven solos, in a 31-24 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
