Man held, accused of statutory rape

A Vicksburg man accused of having a relationship with an underage girl — and another man and woman accused of aiding the relationship — were held without bail Tuesday morning.

Michael Dakota Spelich, 19, 40 U.S. 80 Apt. 14, was arrested at 6:30 p.m. Monday at a relatives home on Central Drive and charged with statutory rape of a child under 14, Sheriff Martin Pace said.

Amy Elizabeth Perez, 34, and Shawn Michael Fickle, 32, were arrested at their residence, 40 U.S. 80 Apt. 14, at 2 a.m. Monday and charged with a misdemeanor of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and felony accessory to statutory rape, Pace said.

He said the victim is not related to the suspect, but would provide no other information to protect her identity.

All three will appear in front of Judge Johnny Price in County Court Tuesday.
