Nga Yim Yu Joe of 341 West Cypress St. in Cary died on Dec. 16, 2016, at the Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Brooks Sr.; father, Yu Sin Mun; mother, Garn Yun Mun and sister, Jenny (Nga Shin) Liu of the United Kingdom.

She is survived by her five beloved children, Debbie Joe of Ridgeland; Joe Brooks Jr. of Houston, Texas, Virginia Collins of Yazoo City, Betty Arrington of Terry and William Joe of Brandon; two sisters, Nga Kwai Yu Wong of Vancouver, Canada, and Nga Suen Yu Lowe of New Zealand; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, Dec. 22, at 11 a.m. at Goodman Memorial United Methodist Church in Cary with the Rev. Larry Sappington officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 21, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home, and Thursday, Dec. 22, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Goodman Memorial United Methodist Church in Cary.

Pallbearers will be Charles Shoffner, Charles Weissinger Jr., Chris Arrington, Isaiah Collins Sr., James Arrington, Melvin Jones and Sammy Cole.
