Vicksburg soccer sweeps Greenville

Being down a couple of players didn’t stop the Vicksburg High girls’ soccer team from playing — or winning — on Monday night.

Mikayla Banks scored six goals and Tyra Prentiss had another as the Missy Gators routed Greenville 7-1.
Vicksburg only had nine available players because of exams and other excused absences. They played the Honey Bees 9-on-11 with no substitutes and still won easily to improve their record to 4-3.

In the boys’ game, Joshua Tyler and Chance Williams each scored a goal as Vicksburg beat Greenville 2-0.
Tyler Kimble had an assist on Tyler’s goal, and Parker Demeranville earned the shutout in goal.
