For those wondering if their trash pickup schedule would be affected by the Christmas or New Years holiday seasons, Waste Management Tuesday handed out a little gift of good news.

The company said all routes will run on their normally scheduled service day, preventing any disruption in pickup for the Vicksburg-area customers.

“Waste Management is thrilled our employees are able to spend the holidays with their families this year without disrupting pickup service,” said Terry Smith, Waste Management manager of public sector solutions – Gulf Coast Area. “From Waste Management to all, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.”

The decision was made easier this year, as both the Christmas and New Year holiday fall on Sundays.
