Sallie Bingham Terry

Sallie Bingham Terry of Brandon departed this life on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016, surrounded by her family in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 62.
Sallie was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, to the late Joseph Reid and Mary Ann Bingham.
She was a graduate of Gulfport High School of Gulfport and attended the University of Mississippi, where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority and served as rush chairman.
In addition to her parents, Sallie was preceded in death by her daughter, Sarah Ann, and her brother, David Bingham.
Sallie is survived by: her loving husband, Joseph Stanford Terry III, (Brandon); her son, Stanford Blake Terry (Jennifer) of Lafayette, Colorado; her daughter, Jennifer Terry Uggen (Jon) of Omaha, Nebraska; and her grandchildren, Ella Uggen, Madeline Uggen and Stanford Benson Terry.
Sallie is also survived by: her brother, Reid Bingham (Karen) of New York City, NY; her brother, Sid Bingham of Pasadena, California; her mother-in-law, Mary Frances Terry of Vicksburg; her brother-in-law, Robert Terry (Georgia); her sister-in-law, Marilyn Terry; numerous special nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her precious dogs, Lexi and Tiger.
After her marriage, Sallie and Stan made their home in Vicksburg, where Sallie was employed by the Magnolia Hotel Company and Delta Point Restaurant. Sallie was active throughout the community and a member of The Junior Auxiliary, Antique Club, Colonial Dance Club and the Needlework Guild.
After their time in Vicksburg, Sallie and Stan lived many years in Boulder, Colorado, though they eventually returned back to Mississippi and made their home in Brandon for the last 10 years. Sallie was employed by Maison Weiss, in Jackson.
Sallie was devoted to her family and friends and especially loved her mountain home at Quaker Mountain, Colorado. Her positive outlook on life, and her love of God, were her greatest gifts to those who knew her. Special thanks to Sallie’s prayer warriors, who gave her strength, comfort and much love.
On Jan. 7, 2017, Stan and his family invite friends to join them for a reception and celebration of Sallie’s life, which will be held at Duff Green Mansion of Vicksburg from 2 to 5 p.m.
