BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Mary Virginia Pettey Moore, age 76, of Birmingham and formerly of Meridian, went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 24, 2017.
She was born Sept. 7, 1940. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to many.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Kenneth Moore; and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas C. Pettey (Rosa Frances).
Ms. Moore is survived by her daughter, Isabel Moore Corley (Phillip) and grandsons John, Beck and Sam; daughter, Carol Lewis Fletcher (Brent) and grandson Brad; sister, Leneal Massey (Hookey); and brother, Joe Pettey (Judy).
Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 27, 2017, at 1 p.m., immediately followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church.
