Dorothy Pugh

Dorothy Pugh died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, in the Heritage House Retirement Center. She was 81.

A native of Yazoo City, she lived most of her life in Vicksburg. She was an active participant of the Vicksburg Senior Center and attended Living Waters Apostolic Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lottie Harrelson; her husband, Ernest Pugh; two brothers and her longtime companion, John Brent.

Survivors include her daughter, Debbie (Eddie Guy) Shiers of Vicksburg; her sons, Kenny (Kathy) Pugh and Leon (Samantha) Pugh, both of Vicksburg, and Ricky Pugh of Lake; her stepchildren, Kimbal (Mildred) Pugh of Tennessee, Leonard (Delores) Pugh of Pascagoula, Matt (Ken) Grant of Oregon, Lovie Bailey, Faye Jeffers and Mary (Doug) Brown, all of Vicksburg; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017, in the Conehatta Methodist Church Cemetery in Conhatta at 11 a.m. with pastor Doyle Moulder officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Glenwood Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Chris Pugh, Scott Pugh, Joshua Pugh, Keione Mellon, Michael Rollison and David Shiers.
