Carol Walker Simmons

Carol Walker Simmons of Vicksburg, died Saturday, Feb. 4, at her home surrounded by family. She was 66.
Mrs. Simmons was born in Oklahoma City to Wade and Jean Walker.
Her career as a physical therapist spanned 41 years, where her work and ministry often intertwined.
Mrs. Simmons was an active member of both Christ Episcopal Church and St. Alban’s Episcopal Church.
Her father, Wade Walker, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her mother, Jean Walker of La Quinta, Calif.; her husband, Roger Simmons of Vicksburg; two sons, Jon Simmons (Kimberly) of Mobile, Ala., and Clay Simmons of Flowood; daughter, Claire Crow of Wesson; three grandchildren, Austin Crow, Reid Crow and Anna Claire Crow; brothers, Ronnie Walker (Karen) of Dallas, Gary Walker (Debbie) of La Quinta, Calif., and Winfield Walker (Mandy) of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; and sister, Anne Walker (Paula) of Lancaster, Calif.
Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Riles Funeral Home. A second visitation will be Friday, Feb. 10, at 1 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m.
The Rev. Sam Godfrey, the Rev. Billie Abraham, the Rev. Jud Meaders, the Rev. C. J. Meaders and the Rev. Josie Williams will officiate the memorial service.
