Funeral services are Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mount Pilgrim M.B. Church of Freetown by the Rev. Dr. John H. Williams.
Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home.
Sims passed away Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017, at Shady Lawn Nursing and Rehab of Vicksburg surrounded by family. She was 89.
She was a homemaker and member of Mount Pilgrim M. B. Church, where she was a part of the choir.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Vallie Nichols Hebron; her husband, Johnnie Sims Sr.; her three brothers, Walter Hebron, Charlie Hebron Jr. and Leon Hebron; four sisters, Minnie Jones, Ollie Mae Sims, Lizzie Peaches and Viola Sims.
She is survived by her three sons, Johnnie Sims Jr., James Lee Sims and Bobby Earl Sims all of Vicksburg; her six daughters, Johnnie Mae Tucker, Ruby Anderson, JoAnn Walker, Betty Anderson, Annie Sims and Darlene Sims all of Vicksburg; her sister, Artimease Clayton of Vicksburg; 25 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
