Porters Chapel stumbles against Canton Academy

Porters Chapel Academy had an early lead Saturday, then watched the floodgates open in the second half of the game as it lost 13-2 to Canton Academy.

Canton Academy scored five runs in the fourth inning and five more in the fifth, and took advantage of four errors by PCA to blow the game open.

PCA (1-1) had taken a 2-1 lead in the second inning on an RBI single by Kyle Guider.
PCA pitcher Bailey McMillian allowed one earned run through the first three innings. He gave up four hits and four walks, and struck out two.

Keaton Permenter and Paco Bello each scored three runs for Canton, while Zach Warren had an RBI triple and Justin Sweat had four RBIs.

PCA will return to action with back-to-back road games Monday and Tuesday at Benton Academy and Hartfield Academy.
